Oh man, the past couple of weeks have been so overwhelmingly tough. Life is so much better right now, I remember that it's fun.

I had fun today. Lots.

And now I'm more in the mood to draw!

I got a tablet recently, Wacom Graphire, and I've been having fun with it. Haven't really felt like posting anything, but most of the stuff I will post is going to end up in my scraps until I get better. I love it!

I also got a "Virtual Pose" CD/book thingy, which is fun because I can draw while looking at a model at any angle I want. That's kind of the main problem with practicing figure drawing; it's much harder to do it from a book, and it'll be hard for me to actually go to a class until I'm 18 (1 year!), so this is the next next best thing. Whew.

I'm also learning that I need to exercise a lot more patience, and be willing to invest lengthy amounts of time into learning and drawing and getting better. It's worth it, though. I just need to find my inspiration.

Harry Potter, book and movie, were both fabulous. Other frivolous things: got a whole new bed theme, with new sheets and pillows and blankets, bought a 20in flatscreen TV for $50 for my room (which I just made out of the attic), and I go swimming a lot more, which makes me happy. I also got my senior license and a car, which is freedom like nothing else. Yay!
